A girl who became a refugee after Zeon's attack on SIDE 7, and escaped aboard the Federation Forces warship White Base.
She has worked as a medic and communications officer for the White Base ever since.
She is actually the daughter of Zeon Zum Deikun, the founder of the Republic of Zeon, and her real name is Artesia Som Deikun. Her brother is Zeon ace pilot Char Aznable, which adds further complications.
She is intellectual yet bold in her actions, and shows signs of Newtype ability. Because of this, she was chosen as the pilot for the Core Booster.
